Comparative study of the thermoluminescence properties of natural metamorphic quartz belonging to Turkey and Spain
نویسندگان
چکیده
The aim of this study is to investigate the sensitization of the thermoluminescence (TL) peak of metamorphic quartzes from Adiyaman in Turkey (TMQ) and fromMadrid in Spain (SMQ). Quartz samples of two different origins were β-irradiated between 6.689 Gy and 4816 Gy at room temperature. X-ray diffraction analysis has indicated that both TMQ and SMQ have the same crystal structure. Chemical analyses of both TMQ and SMQ were performed using the XRF technique. The preheat processes were carried out at 125 1C for 10 s in the TL measurement. TMQ and SMQ samples have different TL properties in two ways. First TMQ has four first order TL glow peaks while SMQ has five first order TL peaks and secondly, the observed dose sensitivity of TMQ samples is higher than the SMQ samples. & 2013 Elsevier Ltd. In this study, the epiphytic algae of Lemna minor collected from its natural habitat or grown in aquarium were analyzed for a period of six months from April 2016 to September 2016. While a total of 15 taxa, 1 belonging to Cyanophyta and 14 belonging to Bacillariophyta, were recorded for L. minor grown in aquarium, a total of 36 taxa, 3 belonging to Cyanophyta, 5 belonging to Chlorophyta, 1 bel...
متن کاملMagmatic and Metamorphic Fluids in Pegmatite Development: Evidence from Borujerd Complex, Iran
The Borujerd complex of western Iran is composed of intrusions and their surrounding contact aureole, with, pegmatites and quartz veins. Pegmatites differ in mineralogy, origin and age, and two groups can be distinguished. The Older Pegmatites (about 120 Ma age) intruded contact metamorphic rocks from the early magmatic stage, while the Younger pegmatites (52-70 Ma age) formed during the late m...

The Muteh-Golpayegan metamorphic complex consist of different metamorphic rocks including pelitic, semi-pelitic, carbonate, quartz-feldspathic and basic metamorphosed rocks. The metapelitic rocks include chlorite schist, biotite schist, garnet schist, staurolite schist, kyanite schist, sillimanite schist and andalusite schist. The semi-pelitic rocks contain higher amounts of quartz and lower am...

The study area is a part of so-called Sanandaj-Sirjan zone or Zagros imbricate zone of the Zagros Orogen, Iran. The Hamedan region comprises a metamorphic sequence of low- to high-grade regional and contact metamorphic rocks intruded by mafic, intermediate and felsic plutonic bodies. The sequence comprises pelitic, psammitic, mafic, calc-pelitic and calc-silicate rocks. Pelitic rocks are the m...

The Chadegan metamorphic complex is a WNW-ESE- trending antiformal structure located in Sanandaj-Sirjan structural zone, Iran. The inner core of the structure is made of orthogneiss, containing eclogitic lenses. Schists and marbles lie structurally above theorthogneiss and crop out in the external limbs of the antiformal dome. Two main deformational episodes have been documented in theschists an...
